  • 2019 GUA Berlin Roundtable - Subscription model will you be locked in

Question: With subscription model will you be locked in?

Kodak Answer: Per the terms of your sales contract, a Kodak Workflow or Managed Services subscription can be terminated at any time with 90 days notice.

-If you would like to purchase a perpetual license for the Kodak workflow product you’re currently subscribed to, we offer the ability to do that at a prorated amount.

-If you would like to cancel the Managed Service subscription for the products Kodak is hosting for you, there are two options:

-Purchase new server hardware and rehost services to move your software and files from the Azure data center back on premise. You will need to purchase a standard support agreement to ensure you have access to the latest updates and technical support.

-Purchase alternate hosting solution, you will lose the benefits provided by Kodak under the Managed Services program, such as the JTP extension licenses, automated maintenance/upgrades, cross-site failover, backups and proactive support. In the event that this option is selected you will have up to 30 days after the end of your agreement to transfer the data to the new environment. Your ownership of licenses will remain unchanged. Kodak will offer services to help with the transition and a standard support agreement will be offered to continue to ensure you have access to the latest updates and technical support.
