Can you please email me if you are using Prinergy Track today? Driving your digital press via straight PDF from Prinergy? If you would like demo please also email me and we can setup a meeting for everyone.

    December 14, 2021
Kodak Products and Apache Log4J2 exploitation (CVE-2021-44228 and CVE-2021-45046)

Kodak is aware of the CVE-2021-44228 and CVE-2021-45046 Log4j 2.x exploitation that is impacting numerous Java based software applications on the market.

While we are still investigating the issue, we have identified two instances of the Log4j 2.x software in use within Kodak software applications.

Prinergy Server: The Oracle folder on the C: Drive contains Log4 2.x files. We are working with Oracle to address the vulnerability.
Kodak RSS Software: The version and configuration of Log4j used in our RSS products is not affected by CVE-2021-45046 or CVE-2021-44228.
Please keep your server and workstation operating systems patched with the latest security patches from Microsoft, Apple, and your anti-virus software provider. See Answer ID 14221 for info re Installing AV Software on Kodak Workflow Servers. As a best practice, we recommend that Kodak software passwords are updated from default to unique.

Kodak has done our investigation and the Oracle product (Oracle Database) is on the “Oracle products not requiring patches” list, and as such no further action is required.

More information can be found at Oracle document 2827611.1 as Oracle is not affected by the Apache Log4j issue.

      Thanks,
